I thought I would bring you all a little anime in today's post! So, I found this particular character several years ago while exploring Seattle, WA.
Meet Tilochi Moyoko:
Not sure exactly what her storyline is, but she's cute!

Morbid Creativity
Ok, so I know I'm a bit morbid at times. I find myself intrigued by the crime shows. I am often found watching First 48 - real homicide investigations. The forensic research fascinates me and I am often amazed at how ruthless humanity can be.
With that said...as I was wandering through some random photos online today, I ran across this little piece of art:
It made me wonder...what causes someone to set up a mini death scene in a doll house and then photograph it?
First, there is the artistic approach...a little art project. I'm sure we have all taken weird, random photos and found the hidden artist within ourselves.
Or maybe, they were recreating a scene from a recent crime show series...perhaps after watching an episode, someone decided to play CSI and set up their own mini crime scene.
Or perhaps, the scene was just happened upon by an innocent bystander after a child finished playing with the doll house.
Well, whatever the reasoning behind the creation of this piece...it makes the mind wonder. I never really imagined turning a childhood doll house into a murder mystery/crime scene arena. But, to each their own!
Let the morbid creativity continue!

What exactly defines love?
Is it a feeling?
Is it a state of mind?
Well, however you choose to define it, I hope that everyone out there experiences some form of love in their lifetime.

Making Lemonade
"Things turn out best for the people who make the best out of the way things turn out." ~A. Linkletter

Inspiration
"After a while you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul;
And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning
And company doesn't mean security,
And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts
And presents aren't promises,
And you begin to accept your defeats
With the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child
And learn to build all your roads
On today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans,
And futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight.
After a while you learn that even sunshine burns
if you get too much.
So plant your own garden and decorate
Your own soul, instead of waiting
For someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure...
That you really are strong
And you really do have worth.
And you learn and learn...
With every goodbye you learn."

Let Your Light Shine Bright...
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
~Marianne Williamson (as quoted by Nelson Mandela - 1994)

Shell of a Being?
Why is it that when we age we seem to be viewed by younger generations as useless? Do they not realize that we learned all those lessons before they were even thought of & that is how we have made it this far in life?
I saw a patient of mine today & his current environment truly saddened me. To be left in a solitary room with dim lighting, stark walls, & nothing but the noise from the hall to keep you company...what an existence! Does no one think he's still alive in there somewhere? Just because he does not speak to us in language that we always understand clearly does not mean that he is less of a human than if he could interact "normally!"
We do not cease to be human, nor do we cease needing caring people around us once we cease to communicate with the "outside world." In fact, we probably need those caring people to surround us more than ever.
Just because someone does not speak in a language you can understand, do not forget to respond in a language that is unmistakable...love!

Movin' On Up!
Like many before me, I have decided to exchange the 'ol MySpace drama for Blogger. Here you will find my random rantings, various views & fabulous photos! Hopefully you will enjoy it, but if not...no worries, I'm not here to please the world. As the great Dr. Suess once said "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
